In this Vlog I run through my five top tips for safer brass playing during COVID.
- Every child should have their own mouthpiece
- Make sure your room is well ventilated
- Use a fabric bell mask
- Create and stick to a disinfection and/or quarantine process
- Deal with condensation from instruments
There are other things to think about, of course, like space between players or the way each player is facing, but these factors tend to be very site specific where as my tips will help in almost any setting.
If you want to know more about the research behind these tips you can read my more in-depth blog which includes a link to the MIA webinar unpacking all the research findings.
